The plan had been laid in stone;Hayden, Ander, Gatzke and I bounce it to Joes Thursday night, climb 'till Sunday and roll back to CO victorious in our extended weekend zaventure! Thursday rolled around and spirits were high until we decided to do some research to see what conditions were looking like and they weren't looking very good, Vail Pass was looking all sorts of jacked up and after some convincing it was on to plan B.
Chris Gatzke had mentioned Ponderosa as a strong caniadte for a replacemebnt spot. The name Ponderosa sticks out in my mind due to a pic I remember seeing of Timmy F. climbing this amazing v5/10 highball arete in an old climbing rag and ever since then that image and that name have somehow been kept and filed away for future referance in my minds eye. Needless to say I was juiced, amped, mobbed up son!
We arrived sometime around 1 am, (for logistcis and a good write up and of course sickie pics check out Hayden's blog)and of course headed straight to the boulders. We ended up stoppnig at a problem called Triple Mullet Blow Job which climbs out this rad slopy rail feature.

Once we woke up Friday morning and tried to put together the pieces from the previous night/morning it was time to head off to the blocks and our first stop was the KING for a Day boulder.
